Dubai Land Department (DLD) concluded its participation as Strategic Partner of the 22nd edition of IPS 2026 with a three-day programme focused on several key drivers shaping the market’s next phase of growth, from expanding institutional investment and enhancing professional standards to developing national talent and increasing Emirati participation in the real estate sector.
These themes reflect DLD’s vision to develop an integrated real estate ecosystem that combines capital diversification, market professionalism, and sustainable talent development, strengthening confidence and competitiveness while supporting the objectives of the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Real Estate Investment Funds: Expanding the Institutional Investment Base
On the exhibition’s main stage, Ahmad Al Falahi, Senior Consultant Real Estate at Dubai Land Department, delivered a specialised session on real estate investment funds. He highlighted their role in attracting institutional, regional, and international capital, broadening the investment base, and diversifying the investment instruments available to investors.
Al Falahi also outlined the framework established under Decree No. (22) of 2022 concerning the approval of privileges for real estate investment funds in the Emirate of Dubai. The framework enables eligible funds to register with Dubai Land Department and benefit from a range of privileges, subject to specific terms and conditions. This ecosystem reflects Dubai’s commitment to enhancing its appeal to long-term institutional capital by providing an environment that combines regulatory clarity, diverse investment opportunities, and robust governance. It also supports investment funds and institutions to deploy capital within a real estate market offering a broad range of assets and opportunities.
Brokers as Partners in Market Excellence
The final day recognised a group of distinguished real estate brokers and brokerage firms for their performance, commitment to serving customers, and contribution to enhancing professional standards across the market.
Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehi, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency at Dubai Land Department, said: “The strength of the real estate market is built on the integration of effective regulation and professional practice. Brokers play a pivotal role in strengthening trust, enhancing the customer experience, and connecting investors with the right opportunities. This recognition celebrates professionals who demonstrate exemplary standards and contribute to the market’s competitiveness, while reaffirming our commitment to developing broker capabilities, elevating performance standards, and reinforcing transparency and accountability across every stage of the real estate journey.”
Sustainable Pathways for Empowering National Talent
During the third day, DLD continued its empowerment workshops, where Noura Al Jasmi, Senior Consultant, Corporate Support at Dubai Land Department, highlighted the key outcomes of the empowerment initiatives implemented over the past two years. She also outlined efforts to broaden career opportunities for Emiratis and enhance their readiness to work and grow across various areas of the real estate sector.
This approach reflects DLD’s commitment to building a sustainable pipeline of national talent by developing pathways for training, employment, and professional growth in collaboration with its partners, while strengthening Emirati participation across the real estate ecosystem.
Three Days Showcasing the Breadth of the Real Estate Ecosystem
Dubai Land Department concluded three days of participation with an integrated programme spanning market data, digital services, artificial intelligence, institutional investment, expanded homeownership opportunities, real estate education, professional excellence, and empowering Emirati talent and national companies. The programme also enabled direct engagement with investors, developers, brokers, and partners.
DLD’s participation reflected the breadth of its role in advancing Dubai’s real estate ecosystem by regulating the market, enhancing its services, expanding investment instruments, fostering innovation, and developing professional and national capabilities—supporting the growth of a more efficient, diverse, and future-ready sector.
