Aldar today announced the launch of Sei Saadiyat, a residential development drawing on timeless design and wellness philosophies, bringing connection to nature, ritual, and the pursuit of calm restorative living to Saadiyat Cultural District.

The name Sei, meaning stillness and calm in Japanese, is reflected in the overall living experience with a curated collection of shared amenities designed around wellness, relaxation, fitness, and social connection. These include garden-based hot and cold pool experiences, a Zen garden with a serenity pool, outdoor yoga decks and pod garden, as well as three indoor gyms, outdoor fitness areas, and sports courts. 

The first phase of Sei Saadiyat features 265 homes across two residential buildings, while the full development comprises 778 homes across six buildings. The collection will include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as two-bedroom lofts.

The interiors at Sei Saadiyat take a considered approach to design, balancing minimalism with a sense of warmth, character, and quiet authenticity. Stone, wood, and textured plaster, together with natural variations in texture and tone, create a calm and distinctive character throughout the development, reflecting a design philosophy that finds beauty in imperfection.

With Sei Saadiyat, Aldar is also introducing a new loft-style format to its residential portfolio. The signature lofts will feature double-height, open-plan living spaces with elevated bedrooms overlooking the main living area, alongside expansive windows, generous open space, and flexible working spaces. 

The buildings are distinguished by contrasting heights, creating a dynamic setting and a distinct identity within Saadiyat Cultural District. From the higher floors, select residences will offer panoramic views across the district’s museums and architectural landmarks, including the upcoming Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, as well as the Arabian Gulf, and the Abu Dhabi skyline.

Residents of Sei Saadiyat are within easy reach of Saadiyat Cultural District’s established institutions, including Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, as well as the wider lifestyle experiences of Saadiyat Island. Saadiyat Grove, Mamsha Beach, and Marsa Al Saadiyat further connect residents to the island’s luxury retail, dining, waterfront, and leisure experiences.

Complementing the development’s ethos, Sei Saadiyat will feature a specialist clinic dedicated to health, physiotherapy, and recovery. Sei Saadiyat will also provide residents with a library and gaming lounge, cinema rooms, co-working spaces, an indoor kids’ club, and outdoor children’s play areas complete the resident offering. Landscaped courtyards between the buildings will feature meandering walking paths, layered planting, art, and quiet spaces for relaxation and reflection. Curated retail and food and beverage offerings within the development will provide residents with convenient access to everyday services and dining.

In line with Aldar’s sustainable building practices, Sei Saadiyat is targeting Estidama Pearl 3, with smart community features and EV provisions to enhance connectivity and efficiency for residents.

The first phase of Sei Saadiyat will be available for sale from 16 September 2026.
